As a visitor of My Skin’s Friend you already know that every product we offer is made from scratch in small batches starting with fresh, whole, organic foods. We think we have the most effective organics in the world. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make or use things right in your kitchen right now to help you in your quest for healthy hair and skin.
Let’s talk about natural ways to help stop your hair from falling out and potentially promote some hair growth using common foods. Some of these suggestions might make you laugh but remember, a lot of products already have natural products in them (as My Skin's Friend products do) so don't doubt the healing power of some of these foods.
Black strap molasses can be a great natural remedy for hair loss. Drink two teaspoons on a daily basis, and you will see your energy increase overall and really help your hair. Black strap molasses in its natural form is gross, so stir it into your coffee or mix it with peanut butter so that it will go down easier.
Eat spicy foods to increase your circulation and help prevent hair loss. A known spice that contains capsicum is cayenne pepper, which could stimulate some hair growth, and help strengthen hair follicles. You can find vitamin A in cayenne pepper, which should reduce the risks of hair loss.
If you enjoy expressing yourself with your hair's style and your hair is a major part of your identity, losing your hair can be quite devastating. You can still express your unique personality, however, through your wardrobe.
If you are concerned about losing hair, think about your diet, which can influence this condition. An unhealthy diet does not provide you with the vitamins you need for you hair.
Avoid foods high in carbs and stay away from fast foods. For healthier hair, eat foods that are low in fat and high in protein, like fish, poultry, and fresh vegetables.
Watch your iodine and soy intake if you're preventing hair loss while on a vegan or vegetarian diet. Soy can affect your thyroid gland and causes an imbalance that might be directly related to hair loss. (Remember, soy products contain hormone mimickers that can cause imbalances in estrogens/testosterones/etc.)
Don’t fuss at me for saying this but try to reduce your stress levels. Higher amounts of stress are known to cause increased hair loss. Stress will intensify the rate at which you are losing your hair. I know that losing your hair is stressful but can you see why getting even more stressed about that will cause it to increase? It will make it difficult for treatments to work as well.
Create a massage oil that you can use on your scalp. Mix six drops of bay essential oil with six drops of lavender oil and four ounces soybean, almond or sesame oil. After gently massaging this mixture into the scalp, let it rest for at least 20 minutes before washing out. This procedure can aid in stimulating hair growth.
Vitamin C is useful in the fight against hair loss. Collagen production is increased with the addition of vitamin C. Collagen plays an important role in the health and longevity of your hair. If you are deficient in vitamin C, eat more citrus fruits or perhaps a candy drop with a high vitamin C content.
Eating lots of protein will make your hair fall out slower. A lot of foods such as fish, poultry, eggs and nuts can give your body a lot of protein that you need. This in turn helps give your hair its own protein called keratin. When you have plenty of keratin in your body, the hair will be strong and healthy.
Men who have lost some or all of their hair may want to try liquid saw palmetto. DHT is a male hormone thought to cause loss of hair; DHT growth is decreased by the natural extract found in saw palmetto. Extract the juice from the fruit, and then apply it to your hair and scalp.
My Skin’s Friend Hair Rescue Therapy shampoo, scalp booster and follicle stimulator all help lower DHT while removing build up from previous shampoos, creams, hair spray, frostings and all the other things we put on our hair to be beautiful. Sometimes we need to start fresh. HRT organic shampoo will do that and it is good for all hair types and won’t harm colored or tinted hair.
If you don't eat the proper number of calories, you may experience hair loss. You could quickly prevent this from happening if you make sure that you're eating enough based on your age, weight and height. It is very important that you consume enough food throughout each day.
Do your homework about hair loss treatment techniques, so that you can be mindful of what they involve. When you do your homework, you may decide that one individual choice is worthy of a few extra dollars.
Do not brush your hair when it is wet. When your hair is wet, it is extremely vulnerable to becoming damaged. You can being brushing when your hair is at least fifty percent dry for best results. Hair that is wet can be damaged by ripping, ends splitting, and making it take on a frizzy texture or appearance.
One excellent method for boosting the flow of blood and oxygen to the roots of your hair is to massage them for about two minutes daily. You can get blood going to your scalp and stimulate hair growth. Start by massaging your head when you wake up from sleeping, are showering or getting ready for bed.
